About
We are a non-profit organization formed in 1976 for the purpose promoting woodcarving and provide a pleasant and informative environment to share our experiences with each other. Meetings are held on the second Saturday of each month at:
Mountain View United Methodist Church - 3200 Maryville Pike, Knoxville, TN 37920
Meetings start at 9:00 am and are open ended.
Our meetings are very informal and actively promote and support all phases of woodcarving. Some of the benefits of membership provide are: Informal classes/seminars conducted by knowledgeable club members. Tips on carving techniques, tool selection, wood characteristics, mounting and finishing.
We hold an annual woodcarving show and competition the first weekend in October at the My Peoples Senior Activity Center in Sevierville
Last but not least….fellowship.
If you are a woodcarver, want to be a woodcarver or just want to observe carvers created wonderful works of art come on down and see people carving and enjoying each other’s company.
